Molde Jazz is one of the longest running and most celebrated festivals in Europe, a destination for music audiences enjoying it’s stunning location among the fjords of Norway combined with consistently heralded performances by a wide array of jazz artists. This summer, Bill has been invited to be Artist-in-Residence there performing in seven different concerts, ranging from playing with orchestras, to special one-time duet collaborations and his wide-ranging working bands with special guests. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to see Bill in all of these musical contexts in an environment known for inspiring extraordinary performances. Bill has performed at the Molde Jazz Festival for decades, dating all the way back to his debut there with Arild Anderson’s group featuring John Taylor and Alphonse Mouzon in 1981, a recording of which was released by ECM Records as Molde Concert.
